My New Baby Nephew
My sister, Allison, just had her first baby boy, Isaac. He weighed 9 lbs and is 20 inches long. This seems monsterous compared to my little 6 lb babies, but I have to admit the rolls are pretty cute. My babies always looked like little rat or birds forever. I think he is precious and looks just like his mommy. I'm told he even has a dimple like hers. How cute! Lord thank you for the arrival of this sweet baby boy. Jacob is super excited about Baby Ike!

Sweet little babies!
Jacob is such a sweet big brother. He loves Olivia, or Baby as he calls her, so much. He thought it was so neat for her to be in his bed with him.
She always has a smile for her big brother.
I have been keeping my nephew, Peyton, some during the week. Last week we got the exersaucer out for him to play in and the whole time Jacob was really curious about the contraption. When we folded it down to put it away we found Jacob squeezed in it trying to play.

Demolition Day!
OK, so we have been talking about redoing the bathrooms, and for those of you who know me well you know that these sorts of things take planning out as to the exacts and a specific time line. The OCD inside of me really shines through. My husband, however, thinks very differently than I do. Go figure! He decided a few weekends ago that he was bored. BORED!!! How can you be bored with a 2-year-old and a newborn. Anyway, demolition began. First he refaced the bathroom cabinets and I repainted them. It's pretty amazing how awesome they look. Next thing I know he is removing the toilet and placing it in the front yard. I told him that I felt sure it was against the rules of the neighborhood association to have a toilet in your front yard, but that didn't stop him.
Next came beating up the old tiles. I wish I had a picture of the first night. We both just sat and looked at the floor and thought "What in the world have we done?" However, after much hard work he and Jacob had the floor all clean and ready for the next step.
Jacob was well prepared for the occasion just in case of flying debris.
Now came the time to screw in the plywood and backer board for the new tiles.
I think this piece needs a little more cutting Dad! Now if I only had a picture of the finished product. It looks great and was only a mess for about a week. Seth still has to put in the new baseboards, but other than that it is all done. I love it! When do we start on our bathroom?

The Escapee!
OK, on Sunday we made Jacob's bed into a Big Boy/Toddler bed. I know for some of you this is no big deal as seeing how your children moved from their cribs long ago. Jacob, however, has shown no interest in leaving his crib and I for one have not wanted him to. Simply because this means that he is no longer my baby. Anyway, after much pressure from Seth, I gave in and decided a toddler bed it was. He is now promoted to Big Boy! How sad! The transition went well and things seemed to be going great. For all of 2 days at least. We haven't heard him out of the bed or playing in his room when he is supposed to be sleeping, but this is what we found last night when we went to check on him before we got into bed. Did he fall asleep trying to get back into bed or trying to get out? I guess we will never know!
