Olivia's Curls

Those of you who know Seth know that he has quite the curls in his hair. Olivia's is just now beginning to curl at the bottom. It is so cute when she first gets out of the tub and I dry her hair. She smashes most of them out during the night, but hopefully they will hold in better as her hair grows longer.

Olivia's Crash

These pictures do not do justice for what her face looked like this afternoon. We were at the Finton's house enjoying a fun afternoon of play when Olivia tumbled down the stairs of their deck and crashed into the concrete slab below. It was awful! Ashley Finton said I could be the high jumper for a track team. I must have leapt really high. I don't really even remember. I just know that my baby was laying at the bottom of the stairs screaming. Ashley and Shannon tried to make me feel better by reminding me that there were 3 adults out there and none of us realized what she was about to do, but I still feel awful. I held it together while we were at the Finton's house, but as soon as we got in the car I starting bawling and couldn't stop. I cried the whole way home. She is fine now and acting normal. Just a banged up face. Poor baby!

Cowboys and Razorbacks

Jacob seems to be getting funnier and funnier by the day. He is talking so much more and we are understanding him so much more. I guess that's what 90 minutes of speech a week will do for you. Sometimes in the car I begin to wonder if it is such a good thing. Ha! Anyway, Jacob has a few favorite things that he loves doing or talking about. He loves to play football. When we play or he plays with Seth he is constantly yelling "TOUCHDOWN ARKANSAS". It is so cute and funny. What can I say he loves the Razorbacks. He also loves cowboys. Anytime he sees someone with boots or a cowboy hat on he is sure to yell out "He a cowboy". These pictures just cracked me up. They, in so many ways show our little Jacob. Doesn't the first one remind you of a "little Seth"?

Stealing Drinks and Food

This child never stops going. She got up from her morning nap before did Jacob today. I left her in the den playing and went into the kitchen. When I came back she had found Jacob's half eaten graham cracker and sippy cup on the little table. The graham cracker I can understand, she loves them, but she won't even use her own sippy cups!

Mac N Cheese

Mac N Cheese is a favorite at our house as I am sure it is in homes of small children across America. Olivia loves it. I think she can take down a whole box all by herself. Anyway, she always rubs her head when she eats and so this was the scene tonight after devouring her Mac N Cheese.

Too Cute!

OK so Olivia is pretty much walking everywhere these days and getting into everything. Earlier today Jacob asked for a "Big Boy Snack", aka fruit chews. I'm not sure why he named them this, but that is what they are referred to as around our house. Anyway, as he plopped down at his McQueen place mat, as he so often does, someone decided to join him. Olivia walked over, pulled out the chair, and with a little help (so she didn't bust her head open) climbed up to join him. I did have to push her in. I am not so sure that Jacob was thrilled about having to sharing what has for so long been "His" table. Livi, however was quite proud of herself.

Olivia's First Birthday

Olivia turned 1 on January 7th. We celebrated her birthday on Sunday the 11th. If was bittersweet. She is growing up so fast. She is such a sweet and sassy little girl with a feisty attitude. I don't know where she gets this from! Ha! Here are a few pictures from her little party. Happy First Birthday Olivia! I love you!

Too Long!!!

It's been too long since I have blogged. I know everyone!!!! I have been really swamped with stuff for my little business. It started out small, with just a few things here and there, and some how seemed to turn into late night, caffeine drinking, never a dull moment craziness. It's really fun though. I have a small website that is still in the works. When it gets a little further along I will add it to my blog. It's http://www.simpleandsweetbabyboutique.com/ if you want to check it out.

As for the fam. We are doing great. We have celebrated Jacob's 3rd birthday and Olivia's 1st birthday. That just doesn't seem possible. Christmas was wonderful with family and friends and just celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Jacob was so much fun this year. He could tell you every part of the real Christmas story. He would play with his nativity everyday and talk to the figures like they were real. It is so amazing to watch a child think.
I am going to post a few pictures and will do more later to really catch up!
These are from Jacob's Birthday Party at Chuckie E Cheese's.
A few from Christmas pictures taken with my family!

Here is one of Livi in her Birthday dress. I will post more after her party.
