At the Lake

We went to the lake today for the first time this year. Due to all of the rain the water has been too high to even get to the dock, but it is finally starting to go down. It was a great day, but the water is still freezing. Livi loved riding and driving the boat. She protested quite loudly if anyone touched the steering wheel while she was in charge. Sorry Daddy and Grandpa! She hated the water, but hopefully she will like it when it warms up. Jacob loves to drive the boat as well and he loved the water. Although he didn't stay in for long he got to swim around a little, kick, and splash. Enough for him to feel like he had a big trip. It was a fun day and I can't wait for the next trip!

Early Morning Faces

We have two very different personalities in the mornings. Jacob wakes up very chipper and is always all smiles. We are greeted each morning with the words "Awake, the sun up". He is just so cute. Here is his early morning face. Momma love's you little man!

Livi is our snoozer in the mornings. She likes to get her beauty sleep. She is much like her Aunt Allison, lol, she likes to wake up on her own and she needs a few minutes to herself before being disturbed. When I go to get her she gathers up all of her "stuff", blanket, sassy, baby and we head for the den. Here is her early morning face while waiting in her seat for breakfast. She has the true definition of bedhead everyday. Sweet baby girl!

Forever, Yet Again!

Ok, so I haven't posted in forever, yet again. In my defense, our computer crashed and we were without for at least a month, so that counts as an excuse, Right??? Anyway, the kids are growing up so fast. Jacob is such a sweet little man. He is looking more and more like a big boy these days. It breaks my heart! Livi is quite the spit fire. She is finally saying a few words besides Ma Ma. The other day she went up to a picture and started crying and saying Da Da. It's pretty funny considering she won't say it to his face. To his face she also calls him Ma Ma! Another new one is the last few days is "Doe" (no). I kept hearing her yell it really loudly. Later that same day I noticed her right up in Jacob's face swatting and yelling "DOE DOE!" He was just standing there a little stunned. He said, "Momma, Livi hit me." Poor baby!

Below are a few pictures from the past few months. Some from the zoo, some from Easter, and some from Jacob's first program at church. FYI, he didn't sing not one song or say one word, but he stood up there the whole time! I guess that's pretty good for a shy little guy?

Precious Will

Here is sweet baby Will's latest picture. He is doing so much better thanks to our Heavenly Father and the prayers of so many. If his bilirubin is still down this afternoon he can go home! What a huge answer to prayers. I know his big sisters can't wait!

Prayer Needed

A dear friend of mine has a baby in the NICU at UAMS right now. He was born Friday with under developed lungs and things seem to go up and down everyday. He overcomes one hurdle and then faces another. Below is a link to her blog so that you can see little baby Will and find very specific things to pray for.

If you don't have time to look a few things are that his bilirubin would go down, that he would eat and digest more, that he can get off the oxygen, and that a suspicious spot in his brain would not be a hemorrhage.

My friend's name is Tenille. Please lift her, her husband Russ, their two little girls Lexi and Lauren, and new baby Will up in your prayers.

Thank you so much. God is so good and we believe that he can heal this baby so he can go home with his family.

Oh Yes, They Call Her the Streak

Livi LOVES to streak through the house after her bath each night. She gets all dry and then off she shoots. Out the door and into whatever mischief she can find. A few night ago she ran out of the bathroom and when I chased her down I decided I needed a picture of her trying to get in her little chair with her baby. Don't you just want to pinch those little cheeks. Seth better get her under control!

Grandpa's Birthday

Last Sunday we celebrated Grandpa's 60th birthday! Wow grandpa is getting old. Here are a few pics from his little party with Jacob and Olivia.

Sweet Little Bedtime Voice

Every night before my kids go to bed I pray with each of them. After we pray I sing each them a little song. Livi's song is "You are My Sunshine". Which is why so many times I refer to her as sunshine. Jacob's song has always been "Hush Little Baby/Jacob" and he now sings along with me every night. It is so sweet. I wish this video was longer, but here is a short little clip of us singing together.

Makin' Music

Both of my kiddos seem to love music. Jacob loves to sing and play instruments and Livi loves to makes noise and dance. Here is a little video of them playing together.

Jacob's Gotee

Just thought this was cute. He wanted to be like his daddy so he got a bubble gotee!

Olivia's Curls

Those of you who know Seth know that he has quite the curls in his hair. Olivia's is just now beginning to curl at the bottom. It is so cute when she first gets out of the tub and I dry her hair. She smashes most of them out during the night, but hopefully they will hold in better as her hair grows longer.

Olivia's Crash

These pictures do not do justice for what her face looked like this afternoon. We were at the Finton's house enjoying a fun afternoon of play when Olivia tumbled down the stairs of their deck and crashed into the concrete slab below. It was awful! Ashley Finton said I could be the high jumper for a track team. I must have leapt really high. I don't really even remember. I just know that my baby was laying at the bottom of the stairs screaming. Ashley and Shannon tried to make me feel better by reminding me that there were 3 adults out there and none of us realized what she was about to do, but I still feel awful. I held it together while we were at the Finton's house, but as soon as we got in the car I starting bawling and couldn't stop. I cried the whole way home. She is fine now and acting normal. Just a banged up face. Poor baby!

Cowboys and Razorbacks

Jacob seems to be getting funnier and funnier by the day. He is talking so much more and we are understanding him so much more. I guess that's what 90 minutes of speech a week will do for you. Sometimes in the car I begin to wonder if it is such a good thing. Ha! Anyway, Jacob has a few favorite things that he loves doing or talking about. He loves to play football. When we play or he plays with Seth he is constantly yelling "TOUCHDOWN ARKANSAS". It is so cute and funny. What can I say he loves the Razorbacks. He also loves cowboys. Anytime he sees someone with boots or a cowboy hat on he is sure to yell out "He a cowboy". These pictures just cracked me up. They, in so many ways show our little Jacob. Doesn't the first one remind you of a "little Seth"?

Stealing Drinks and Food

This child never stops going. She got up from her morning nap before did Jacob today. I left her in the den playing and went into the kitchen. When I came back she had found Jacob's half eaten graham cracker and sippy cup on the little table. The graham cracker I can understand, she loves them, but she won't even use her own sippy cups!

Mac N Cheese

Mac N Cheese is a favorite at our house as I am sure it is in homes of small children across America. Olivia loves it. I think she can take down a whole box all by herself. Anyway, she always rubs her head when she eats and so this was the scene tonight after devouring her Mac N Cheese.
